When you find something absurd or distasteful these words are at you thrown from the internet like a summer time Venice Beach volleyball. You remark someone (who purposly made/posted something to be offensive and kick back for LoLz) is an asshat for being an actual asshat and the “bros” come out in force to “understand” and “defend” the poor abused asshat who sole purpose in life is just to be an asshat. They call you white knight, sensitive, tell to you to “grow a pair”.

Let me let you in on a little adult reality.  You aren’t that clever Brohem. You thought making this:

made you “tough” or “detached” fucking “unaffected advanced” and “next level”. In adult reality though it just made an asshat. 

Here is another adult reality. No one is that offended. People aren’t gnashing their teeth and pulling out their hair. No one is running out into the street screaming the sky is falling. Let me tell you what happened in the adult world. Your actions matter and you are judged by them. You are no longer in High School Brohem. People don’t have to be around you or play with you cause our mommies made us. We are adults and as such we can decide you just are not worth our time. That is all that happened here Brohem. You didn’t fight the good fight or change the world. Just just made ppl realize early you weren’t worth the effort and time.

That is right Brohem. I have a vagina and play Magic: the Gathering as my number one hobby. None of which has anything to do with the reason you are an asshat and I wouldn’t give you the time of day. The real reason is I am an adult, with a full time job, two children to raise and the few hours a week I get to myself to play the game I love I choose not to share with you asshat. That is all that happened here. Sorry your next level troll is actually just pathetic and your attempt to be a shock jock just actually wasn’t shocking but expected from asshats.  

Let me tell you about flash. Flash is sexy. Flash draws you in. It captivates you. It bedazzles you. It makes you think you are sexy. Until it’s gone. Until the grandstand is over and the clowns makeup has started to run. Until you figure out the trick and the Magic is spoiled. 

Let me tell you about consistent. Consistent doesn’t parade about. It doesn’t applauded itself. It doesn’t get metals and back-slaps of congrats just for waking up. It is often overlooked, under appreciated and…well…consistent. Let me tell you what is sexy. Sexy is a man who raises his children. Sexy is a man pay his bills. Sexy is a man who always shows up. Sexy is a man who walks his own way. 

What does this have to do with writing MTG articles you ask? I don’t know exactly. I do know people constantly ask me “What should I write about to get on your site?” “Who is your favorite MTG writer?” “What makes a good article?”  The answer in my head is to complex to explain correctly in words but I can give you an example of sexy MTG writing. His name is Brian Braun-Duin. When I come to him he always has something to teach me. He always says it in a way I connect too and he doesn’t need flash and gimmicks to do it.
